This is what I will be viewing at 2 p.m. on Friday in Little Italy:
The World Cannoli-Eating Championship, the event just below the Grand Parade of the Statue of San Gennaro in religious importance.
It’s sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eating and rewards the winner with a ‘Championship Belt and Eternal Glory.’ The statement’s a bit paradoxical, though, given the assumption that the record’s broken every year.
But either way, it’s gonna have pictures!
